At Community Church you’ll discover a group of ordinary “non religious” folk who have discovered the joy of Christian living. When you visit our church our hope is that you’ll immediately sense a friendly atmosphere of love and acceptance.
We’re made up of folk from Marchwood and the Waterside along with others from Totton, Ashurst, Lyndhurst and other parts of the New Forest.
Our informal, café-style gatherings with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee will give you the lift you need to face the next week. The music is contemporary and upbeat. The messages are practical and positive and deal with the pressures and problems we all encounter in day to day life.
Who we are and what we do as a church is motivated by what we believe about God and the principles laid down in the Bible. We believe the Bible is inspired by God and shows us how to develop a relationship with God through Jesus. Because of the impact this relationship has had on our own lives we wish to share this knowledge with others in a friendly, non-confrontational and helpful way.
- We value all people equally and want to build community within our church and into the local area and beyond by developing links through our Café and other community focused activities.
- We wish, (as we are able), to raise and respond to issues of injustice and poverty in society both at home and abroad by some of our activities and prayer
- We want to help and encourage people to reach their full potential in every aspect of their lives, 7 days a week.
- We want to demonstrate by our individual and corporate lives the love of God and seek to share this with others through practical care and service.
As a Church we are also members of the Evangelical Alliance and subscribe to their Statement of Faith
