Salem Orphanage, Kenya
A number of folk within the church support this important project in Kisumu, the largest city in Kenya. At the Salem Orphanage the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of a large number of orphaned and abandoned children are met by a dedicated staff.
Funding for food is a key area where help is needed. 130 children in the orphanage and 600 school children are fed a hot meal each day at a cost of £300 per week.
The provision of a rotavator has helped in the cultivation of nearby land where some crops are planted providing food for hte children and cash from the sale of any surplus.
What can be done to help?
£3.00 per month will educate a child for a year.
£5.00 per month will feed and educate a child for a year.
£20.00 per month will feed 10 children for a year.
